The theory is interesting, but Tencent already bought part of Platinum several years ago (source: here), making this move less likely.
But, it could be the other way around, MSoft grabbing Kamiya by, for example, giving him his own studio to do whatever he wants, no questions asked.
We'll see how it goes and what effect it has for Platinum Games.
