Personally you wouldn't catch me with a non-Asus motherboard these days.
Their software engineers are simply better.

For both AMD and Intel?  I'm leaning toward AMD and will check out Asus

I've been Asus for my motherboards for years now.

Last non-Asus board I bought was the Gigabyte 990FX UD7 and it had serious vdroop issues, which Gigabyte never fixed.

So I would rather a stable and quality platform that gets supported... And I feel Asus delivers on that more than other vendors.

Last MSI board I had would have been in the socket 370 days... And that ended up failing due to poor quality caps, not sure how they stack up these days.
