That said, I've never bought into the average concensus. I feel the best game of this generation, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, is highly under-rated, with an average in the 7's.

Still, there are those who live by the gamerankings scores and who frequently bring those numbers up when flaming the Wii.

Those people also must admit that according to gamerankings, there are like 100 games better than MGS4, and MGS4 is only the 4th best PS3 game.

You can't cherrypick gamerankings at your whim. It's either credible or it isn't. No in-between.

Well said. This game is not for everyone. However, the people that don't like MGS are in a (relative)minority compared to the people that like or even love MGS.

EDIT:Fire Emblem is even less acessible than MGS
