I've said it before many times over the years both here and elsewhere, but if any of the Big Three decided to abandon physical media, that's when I abandon them. I'll have 40+ years worth of video games to draw from and continue playing for the rest of my days. I'm not giving up ownership of my games, period. Yes, it's that important to me. It's not worth giving up just so I don't have to get up and switch out discs or buy a game from a store (B&M or online retail). It's also a nightmare for game preservation.

Well then go out and buy millions of physical games, but can't blame the big three, consumers are buying less physical game, game companies are selling no physical version (just see lately Yakuza Gaiden, Baldurs gate 3 and Alan Wake 2 as an example) but even stores are stop selling them. Tesco with 2800 stores in the UK recently announced they will stop selling games.

I am used that my generation hasn't bought a movie for the last 10 years but I was honestly shocked to have a 17 year old gamer in my family who told me they never owned a physical game...
