What crap?
Do you mean MS trying to Buy Nintendo? It did not happen and this email was not about it either, nor does this email rise or lowers possibilities in that regard. It only mentioned MS Value Nintendo and its assets, nothing more.
To view this as some kind of damage that should be defended is weird. I'm sure Sony values Nintendo just as much as well as many other companies. It's not evil or hostile, just realist and stating the obvious.
