The "refreshes" are exactly that, refreshes. They aren't mid-gen upgrades, it's the same power but with some minor tweaks, that is why there isn't a "disc drive" option, because it already exists with Series X. It's basically a digital only Series X which is slightly improved alongside a slightly improved Series S. Rather than a "new" Series X.
