I've honestly played more multiplayer games when hanging out with friends on HD consoles than the Wii. (Halo 3/RB compared to my Wii games being pretty much just single player like SMG, Zelda, MP3, TC:NB,etc...) I don't like MK and I hadn't played Brawl with friends that much before I realized it wasn't my type of game and traded it in.
So there's no need to classify Wii as a purely party console to pull out when you're drunk and play HD games when you're alone and sober.
