Feels like we're currently right within one of Xbox' strongest periods yet.

• Excellent Summer Showcase showing first-party power
• Age of Empires IV & Quake II Remastered shadow drops
• Starfield released
• Strong upcoming XGP Day One launches for highly-anticipated games this year; Lies of P, Party Animals (Xbox exclusive), Payday 3, The Lamplighters League (Xbox exclusive), Persona 5 Tactics, Cities: Skylines 2, Warhammer 40K: Darktide (Xbox exclusive), Cocoon & more
• Big presence at Gamescom
• Baldur's Gate 3 is coming to Xbox Series X|S this year
• Universally positive impressions on Towerborne, in my opinion one of the best games at Gamescom
• The Texas Chainsaw Massacre + Sea of Stars XGP Day One successes
• Forza Motorsport upcoming
• On-going games such as Forza Horizon 5 or Halo Infinite keep evolving every month and doing well
• Large Xbox first-party updates upcoming this year still for Killer Instinct, Halo Infinite, Grounded, State of Decay 2, Sea of Thieves & more
• Xbox OS is in an improved (albeit not perfect) position, including Discord
• Indiana Jones coming Day One to XGP, Xbox exclusive
• Strong upcoming roadmap for first-party, 2024 looking at least as great as this year (possibly even better)

Always more work to do, always more feedback required in all areas, in particular

• Better regional and localisation support
• More confident release date announcements
• Better studio assistance & overview to prevent launches like Redfall
• I still see feedback all the time about Xbox as a console taking too much of a hit given other focus areas; Xbox needs to make sure the balance is right here, the console remains the #1 place where people play Xbox games / are subscribed to Game Pass
• Starfield saw great blockbuster marketing. Obviously not every first-party game needs that scale of presence, but more "highlight launches" with broader marketing & synergy would be fantastic

However, it's fantastic to see so many things really coming together these days. Xbox has invested so much in their renewed first party organisation since 2018, it was always just a matter of time until Xbox really gets into this position of power. I'm excited where we are, I'm excited for what's next!
