Xbox has really been on a roll since June, it makes the dooming in May look a little funny.

June

  • Had one of their best showcases ever, it was also their most watched in history and by internet reaction it was overwhelmingly positively received. According to Microsoft their highest rated ever although I don't know what metrics they used to calculate older showcases, Lol. But the reaction on Twitter was very positive, and in polls.

July

  • Defeats the FTC (Lol).
  • By a miracle, convinced the CMA to re-look at the deal, Lol.

August

  • Shadow dropped Quake II into Game Pass, to critical acclaim.
  • Texas Chainsaw Massacre launched into Game Pass and was a big success.
  • Strong presence at Gamescom, a lot of positive previews for Towerborne.
  • Shadow dropped Age of Empires IV on Xbox.

September

  • Starfield releases to critical acclaim and is already huge success.

Upcoming - September

  • An extremely strong Game Pass line-up for September including Party Animals which is going to be huge, Payday 3 which is tracking to be another big release, Lies of P and Cocoon which are pretty well anticipated too.
  • Tokyo Game Show Xbox Show.

Upcoming - October

  • Forza Motorsport

Hope they can keep this up. I hope they have a strong showing at The Game Awards and then another Developer Direct in January 2024.
