Unfortunately, there is truth here Split screen was great back in the day. But the reality is technology has passed it by. Look I remember in junior high, high school and college gaming with people at my house or me going to theirs with games chinese food, pizza, etc. It was some damn fun times. But times have changed and tech as evolved. Granted, not all tech evolutions are for the better. But this one for the most part is. Playing online with friends in the comfort of your own home without having to carry around a bunch of games and a system is good. |
That's what split-screen is for not to have to do that. /facepalm
But yes why play with your wife or kids when you can play against random strangers online... You'll get to that age where friends don't have time anymore to jump in daily / at any moment and you want to share your gaming experiences at home in split-screen...
It's not technology that passed it by, screen sizes nowadays are excellent for split-screen. Greed and the focus on the best graphics has passed it by. Every player having to buy his own copy is of course better than split-screen. And of course screenshots and pretty trailers sell games, not features :/
