Not gonna lie, this sets a bad precedent about the presumed pairing between X & S now.  Because MS made an implicit promise that the only sacrifice made with Series S would be graphical fidelity back in 2020.  Chickens coming home to roost by skimping on RAM like they did.

I don't think it is or will be an issue. As long the parity is there for the main stuff.
Split screen is really niche, an they should actually make decision like that if it prevents a game to show up on Series S.

I mean, think about it, it is that or no game at all :) This is good for the Series S owners at the end.

Important part is that this should be very rare exceptions and only for niche features.

And yes, I agree, if anything, memory should have been on part with the X. But the Series S is still a little beast for this price :D

Yes. Agreed. Ultimately good, Series S owners still getting an incredible game, split-screen is niche as hell so barely anyone will care. Just keep this as a very rare exception for niche features only and we're good.

Xbox owners eating good, Starfield coming in a week and looks amazing, just as they're done with Starfield, another huge and amazing RPG will be right around the corner for them. All the dooming is hilarious in hindsight now.
