Here is a picture of one of the smaller and precise hoses I've had to build.  It is a stainless steel braid outer covering with a teflon interior.  It can handle 450 F degrees heat,  I took a picture of it because the unusual shortness.  It had to be precise to within 1/32" of an inch in order to be viable.  Most machine created hoses don't offer that amount of precision, so I was proud of this one.  The dollar was just there for size reference.
