Hello darkness my old friend....no wait sorry. Hello from my laptop. My PC died today two days after I got a new GPU. Looking most likely it is the SSD that is dead or just about dead. Ordered a new SSD and an adapter to see if the old SSD works or not. Thank goodness prices of SSDs recently dropped so the new one is faster and has 2 TB of space.

I've still go HDD's and an early SSD I had in my PS3 still working but I had my first NVME SSD that died after 18 months and it's the only drive failure I've had in 25+ years which was annoying, What GPU did you go with? I keep eyeing up the 7900 XTX/XT as they keep dropping in price and are pretty low at the moment and also come with the £90 version of Starfield very tempting to blow the cash on one.

Funny enough I upgraded my PC 18 months ago, minus the GPU. So the NVME SSD is that old. I'm thinking it might have overheated as it has no protection and is right next to the GPU which I now have the 7900 XT. I'm gonna put the new one in the other slot I have and put a cover on it. Though when my PC crashed I wasn't gaming.
