Isn't the expectation that it will be around base PS4? Haven't heard PS4 Pro, let alone above it.
Since it has such a small form factor, overheating would be a big issue.

Do you mean the 3D effect? It had a slider on the side where you could turn it off, so I don't think it was much of an issue?

But adding in 3D made the system more expensive and they had to use a bunch of processing power to support 3D meaning the system was much less powerful than it would have been if they had left 3D out. It was a gimmick that, admittedly was fairly cool, but didn't matter that much and 3D screen were just a fad for a couple years right around that time and Nintendo ended up with an expensive and at the same time needlessly underpowered system just to have this effect that didn't actually improve games at all.
