I personally still think the original Xbox is still my favorite. The simplicity and futuristic sci-fi aesthetic of the OS, the big fat X on the console itself 
to the games!
I was introduced to LAN gaming with Halo CE and realized the future with Xbox Live for Halo 2, made my favorite genre being WRPGs (which Xbox is now owning) and the close relationship Xbox had with Sega. Jet Set Radio Future still in my top 10 all time favorite games.
And I really enjoyed the demo discs. I would get those all the time to just try out new games.
