Looks like everyone forgot that Gran Turismo was Playstation's best or tied-best selling games for two consecutive generations (3rd party games included). The genre isn't as relevant as it was (well... truth be told, the genre was never that big, GT was an outlier), but overall the series deserves a honorable mention and has sustained its popularity better than something like Halo despite the latter's genre being a lot more popular. GT5 also ended up selling about 12 million (18 counting Prologue) which was massive per PS3 standards.
To say nothing of the impact the series had on car culture and JDM.
