Yeah, the fact that all they're going to show at this yrs Blzizcon being D4, OW2, Warcraft and the 2 mobile games, I can sorta tell that the client's usefulness is coming to a slow end. The mobile games don't really need battlenet client to launch, leaving you with only an MMO and 2 other games, and 1 is already hitting Steam this yr, so over time there will eventually be no point in Battlenet client being useful to have around (it's already barebones as is).
