True. Of course, Switch cartridges are also more expensive to manufacture than Blu-Rays by an unknown but significant amount (given multiplatform game prices and NAND shortages that lasted all the way to 2022). Anyway, since Zenimax was privately owned there's no way to estimate how much ES was making. The Zenimax purchase is widely believed to have been a steal, but we can't speculate much beyond that. Also, I see your Mii series and raise a Candy Crush to meet it:

The interval between replies probably messed things up, but you're right. Fundamentally, getting the most accurate data is impossible for us to make this list. That's why I made it clear I was open to discuss as these are merely opinion based that uses data that relies on the vague official reports and evaluations online. When comparing Elder Scrolls and Zelda, my viewpoint was that Zelda most likely ranks above ES in everyway possible. Zelda as a franchise sold more copies according to multiple research, most likely generated more revenue, sold more merch, better global appeal, better status quo, longer history, and both impacted the industry.
Your counterclaim is probably saying that franchises like Assassin's Creed, the Sims, Mii, Candy Crush sold better and was most likely played by more people! True, franchise total wise they all sold more than Zelda and Elder Scrolls, but all of them loses in other aspects such as their status quo, history, impact, etc. All of these are from my judgement, but I can give details as to why and maybe there's some discussion to be made. That was my purpose of this forum.
Overall, I think Zelda is a much more balanced and powerful IP so that's why I put it in the Top 10 above others
