To not fill the whole list with characters from Phoenix Wright I restricted it to one per franchise.

  • Kyle Hyde (Hotel Dusk Room 215)

I tend to find many of the main playable characters uninteresting compared to other characters from the same games. That is not the case with Kyle Hyde. I love this sarcastic, blunt asshole.

  • Luigi (SMB2, Luigis Mansion, SSB Melee)

I'll take the scared goofball over the more famous brother.

  • Sarah Kerrigan (Starcraft)

Her transformation story in the first Starcraft was so good that Blizzard needed to copy it in order to try to reach equal heights in the sequel.

  • Captian Linebeck (The Legend of Zelda Phantom hourglass)

Obsessive and inconsiderate. The only thing that made me finish Phantom hourglass was the fun interactions with this guy.

  • Franziska von Karma (Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice for all)

A much more human antagonist than her father. The hopeless strive for perfection she embarks is a joy to dismantle.

  • King K. Rool (Donkey Kong country 1,2,3)

What can I say. I like goofy green guys.

  • The merchant (Resident evil 4)

Not as fleshed out as others but so darn iconic. Hates blue medallions and loves reloading revolvers.

  • Lady Lyndis (Fire Emblem the Blazing Blade)

The first character who greets you in the first Fire Emblem released outside of Japan. Stuck in my memory forever even if she is missing enough character flaws to make her believable.

  • Faith Connors (Mirrors Edge)

Cool. Very cool.
