The RX 6700XT reaches only 11970 on average, so 15465 would be a good uplift for the RX 7700. It's beating the 3070Ti and Time Spy was one of the only things the 4060Ti was good at compared to it's predecessor, so a pretty clean win here.

The 7800 on the other hand is looking rather weak compared to last gen. Hopefully this will just replace the RX 6800 and the 6800XT will be replaced by the aforementioned RX 7900GRE (and the latter renamed to 7800XT or XTX), then the gaps would be a bit more substantial.

AMD also has another problem: they've taken so long to launch these new cards that they've given the 7900 XT/XTX time to drop in price by quite a lot, which is going to give them troubles pricing them.

But well, it's their problem but it's also our gain.

Considering how much RX 6xxx cards dropped and even NVidia cards dropping down in price, the price drops of the 7900 cards doesn't have that much impact on the final prices, the ones of old hardware and competition matter more here.

We all know that the availability of both the 6000 and 3000 series cards will slowly drie out, making it a short term problem.

Meanwhile, the 7900XT launched for $900 and now can be found around the $750 mark. I'm sure AMD would have liked to launch the rumored 7900 or 7800XT for around $700, which now would be impossible. And that scales down for the other unreleased 7000 cards.

But, as I said, that's a problem for AMD, not for us.

I played, and enjoyed, the first three Gears of War, but I don't think I'll ever get Gears 5, and the meain reason is Gears 4.

MSoft decided to use this game and the remaster of the first one to push for its Store to compete with Steam, and they did so in a way that neither of those games can be launched on Steam. And since Gears 5 follows the story unvelied in Gears 4, it doesn't make sense for me, a single player guys, to get Gears 5 because I won't know what's going on.

I can only recommend it, specially if you find it for less than 10 euros. I've never liked Gears of War as a saga, and 4 wasn't great from what I've heard. But I think the 5th is excellent.

You get a recap of the Gears 4 story when you start Gears 5 or in the menu of the game (plus explaination of every characters). The fact that I'm so hooked on this Gears is probably because the main character is Kait Diaz. She's got enormous charisma and has 'enemy' blood in her, which means she can turn to the other side at any moment. Another reason is the open world aspect. The gameplay also offers the possibility, among many other things, of adopting a very appreciable stealth approach.

The other co-op/multiplayer modes are so numerous that I'd say it's a rare treat for this kind of game.

I've found some games with recaps before, and some of them don't make the events of the game/franchise any favors. I don't know if the one in Gears 5 falls int othat category, but it's always better to have played the game to have all the little details.

I appreciate your enthusiasm, but you won't be able to make me change my mind.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070
