It's anecdotal but I think Game Pass still isn't in the general consumer mindset yet and it's hard to market to those guys, the amount of times I've had to explain to family members who are subbed to Xbox Live Gold what Game Pass is...and even though they seem impressed by it, they still stick with only Xbox Live Gold.

They'll still be millions who don't give a shit about Game Pass of course, who only play the same few titles every year and those titles are literally the only reason they have Xbox Live Gold, absolutely nothing will change for those guys, they probably won't even notice a change, Lol. But there's also probably going to be a portion who will finally take notice of Game Pass when they have a bunch of free titles popping up in their library and then want more.

And meanwhile Microsoft gets to brag about Game Pass subscribers increasing, Lmao. Game Pass subs are about to balloon but I'm pretty sure a lot in the Core tab, at least in the initial stages, still won't give a shit about Game Pass (yet) based on anecdotal evidence, but they're under the Game Pass label now and Microsoft will hope some will upgrade to Ultimate later down the line if they want hundreds more titles and day one releases.

I would like clarification on when titles will enter Core, it looks like 80% 1st party with the odd 3rd party, I remember one leak said it would be 1st parties being added at least 6 months after their initial release, it's definitely not going to be day one, I just wonder what sort of timeframe we're looking at.

  • Game Pass Core = Care for Multiplayer, Indifferent/Don't Care for Game Pass or Don't Mind Waiting for Releases.
  • Game Pass Console = Don't Care for Multiplayer + Want Day One Releases.
  • Game Pass Ultimate = Care for Multiplayer + Want Day One Releases.
