Just a guess, they might just be required to sell the right for the PC version of the title, they might even be able to retain the Xbox version and so still serve Xcloud properly.

Yes, I'm actually expecting something like that. They are not giving up xCloud for the Xbox which ALSO still let them go for those sticks/TV app etc...  So really not a big deal in the end.
If they do that, it is very likely the PC part of it. We will see anyway :)

I forgot to mention, but of course, this should be limited to existing popular ABK IPs and will probably not impact new Ips and the revival of long-dead ones.

The issue though is, how would the buying entity make a profit out of it, considering I don't think this would grant them the right to sell the title or sell the right for the title to be included in a content library subs. The only thing the buyer would get is the right to determine who's able to stream the title in a BYOG format. With the EU remedy, MS was going to offer those rights for free to any cloud provider.

If my logic is sound, and I think there's a high probability it is not (lol I'm tired) that means either :

a) The buyer will handle those in Not-for-profit organizations style which MS will need to cover for expenditures of handling those, which would be the equivalent of ring-fencing the thing I think.

b)The buyer would actually try to sell back those rights to BYOG services, which would only make things worse for those in UK compared to the free-of-charge offering from MS.
