Urgh consolidation sucks in any industry, not just gaming.

I mainly play on PC so idc what happens to ABK and it doesn't affect me.. but it does and will affect millions of gamers for people who aren't invested in MS's ecosystem(s). Maybe not rn, but in the long term especially considering they'll own CoD.

The one good thing about this though is that hopefully ABK doesn't mandate so much of their games on its own platform. Having the chance to have Blizzard games on Steam is nice thought and something thats a long time coming. Hopefully they don't aquire anyone else big though. MS doesn't have the best track record when it comes to aquisitions.

Yea after all the emails that came out where they had a lot of internal back and forth on how to put Sony out of business shows that once they own ABK, things are gonna turn for the worse. And even if MS continues to make COD multiplatform, when the PS6 launches, Sony will need to decide between giving MS an early preview of their PS6 dev kits or COD will skip PS6 together as a launch title. So it's a lose-lose situation for them.

I was alright with companies purchasing smaller studios. Hell even Bethesda was alright but ABK is just going a tad too far. But as you said, least the games are coming to Steam lol.
