Captain_Yuri said: While the 6700XT is generally slower, it is also 20% cheaper with more vram. As shown in the video, the stock is starting to run out and once it does, the only options in the price range will be 8GB unless you go down to 3060 12GB until that goes out of stock as well. It is kinda dumb how unlike last gen where you had 12GB options at $330-$480, this gen, you have 8GB until $500. Hopefully AMD will release a 12GB 7700XT to replace 6700XT while being faster than a 4060 Ti and cheaper than $500. |
6700XT on average was 9% slower at 1080P.
6700XT on average was 7% slower at 1440P.
6700XT without Ray tracing was on average 6% slower at 1080P.
6700XT without Ray Tracing was on average 4% slower at 1440P.
Keep in mind that the 6700XT has a larger framebuffer, so some of the texturing issues in newer games do not occur.
nVidia also has DLSS if that tickles your fancy.
The 6700XT is found much cheaper currently and price vs performance is absolutely the best buy.
The other option is the 6750XT which can provide an extra 5-10% performance which would close the gap with the 4060Ti.
Here the 6700XT is $479 vs the 6750XT at $529 vs the 4060Ti at $589 AUD so it's a no-brainer.
AMD needs to release the 7700XT that is price competitive, it's what I am waiting on...
