FTC: they got a deal for Microsoft's own contract. That is not merger-specific, they could have done that anyway.

Here the FTC conveniently ignores that Microsoft's relationships with Amazon and Google are complicated, and that the remedies agreed upon with the EC are available to everyone.

I'm very optimistic that Judge Corley will give significant weight to the existing agreements and remedies, and if the FTC runs to the 9th Circuit to appeal the denial of a preliminary injunction, it'll make the legal argument that such agreements should be ignored.
