I love RPGs and the best RPGs I've ever played had amazing and memorable sidequests. The fact FF16 suffers dramatically on both fronts leaves me very disappointed. The term RPG has been so watered down that it doesn't hold much weight anymore. Thankfully Bethesda, Obsidian, and inXile are still around lol. I'll see about trying the game out when it comes to PC and I'll go into it with a completely different perspective as what to expect. So I'm at least not disappointed at the lacking of the game being an RPG lol. Because from what I've heard, story, characters, music, and combat are huge highlights. |
I think Final Fantasy 16; is a game worth playing because of the story, settings, and presentation. The combat while being arcadish is def. amazing if you are okay with that, and by the way for the performance, during the fight, it is better. But calling this game an RPG is simply false advertising imo :) Yet again, a lot of other games are called like that while being more an adventure game at the end.
Now... Yes :) We are in good hands with Xbox studios! Def. the best place if you love RPG like me (and you it seems). This is my favorite genre and Xbox is delivering on that front.
