This segment is a really interesting deep dive into Xbox's business, Lol.

Monthly meetings with the CFO and weekly check ins on metrics with the CFO

That's what I keep saying, and he is laying it down.

Xbox is entirely managed as an independent business unit within Microsoft and that's why it is so hard for them to compete with Sony when it comes to deals.
And that Starfield news about Sony wanting to pay to make it exclusive shows that the ONLY way for Xbox to compete is to actually buy the publisher (and then use Microsoft Warchest as it becomes a corporate decision/investment). They had NO way to offer more money otherwise. and the same goes for all those ridiculous third-party deals Sony is making. Xbox cannot compete, but Microsoft can and the only way for Microsoft to get involved (the parent company) is to buy the studio.

Also for Bethesda, it is funny to think that maybe Sony actually forced the hand of Microsoft Bethesda by trying to make Starfield exclusive. And Microsoft did the only thing they could to prevent it.
