The FTC just said Imagine if you can only get a cool thing like a character skin on Xbox, but not on PlayStation. What would that be like?

Yeah it's really bad. I'm in the same boat of not caring either way about this deal going through but just hearing people in such powerful positions having quite literally zero understanding of how the video game industry operates is a tough hang
