Robin Lee wrote a pretty seminal paper on vertical integration and exclusivity in platforms using US video game industry data (AER, 2013). Interesting detail in the context of this case is that he included Nintendo in his market definition rather than just Sony and Microsoft.

FTC's expert witness wrote a paper in 2013 that included Nintendo in the console market, Lol.
