Kinda disappointing that FFXVI may have to rely on its demo to get more momentum ahead of its launch in Japan. 80+ points is impressive for some games, but you wouldn’t think Final Fantasy in Japan of all countries. I know the series’ sales decline and it being exclusive to PS5 hurts its sales potential, but it’s Final Fantasy dammit. It was one of the big pillar games in Japan, a region that still likes its JRPGs like MH, DQ, Pokemon, Persona, etc. Its a strange, but fascinating decline for such a beloved franchise.
