I'm upgrading my previous score of 7.5 (from the other thread) to an 8. First, because Fable had in-game footage second because there were only very few shortcomings in my opinion:

  1. Starfield Direct was too long (I voiced fear over this only a few days ago) and also took time from the main presentation.
    1. That said the presentation quality did not suffer as a result.
  2. There was no big 2023 surprise
    1. But yeah starfield, Forza, and Persona 5 Tactica are going to please a lot of fanbases
  3. State of decay 3 was absent (3 years since the last update)
    1. 😢
  4. Avowed was a shift in tone from the reveal 3 years ago, I'm gonna miss the darker atmosphere that was foreseen in the first trailer.
    1. I still liked what I saw though
  5. The new series S 1TB is $350, I mean come on, 3 years later 1tb should at least have fitted in the same 300$ release price point. I had the feeling that the Series S was a great tool to propose a very budget-friendly entry that would have gotten cheaper with time the likes we were used to in the 2000s and earlier. but this pretty much confirms they are not interested in making the S increasingly more attractive price-wise.

However, most of those concerns are not about the content of the presentation but what I would have liked it to be, if I limit myself to the actual content that was shown, it was 9.5/10.

Question for anyone,

Do you think this show is what fans of Xbox deserved to have after the last ~18 months of drought?

Do you think this show sets Xbox to adequately capitalize on a potential competition slows down as set out by the relatively poor showing of a few days ago?

With so many 2024 titles do you fear there might be another drought afterward?
