⚡️Official: Russia blows up small dam in area near counteroffensive operations in Donetsk Oblast.
— The Kyiv Independent (@KyivIndependent) June 11, 2023
Military spokesperson Valeriy Shershen, said to Ukrainska Pravda on June 11 that Russia had blown up a dam on the Mokri Yaly River in Donetsk Oblast, flooding both banks.
Blowing dam could be a "legitimate" defensive action here (the reservoir is tiny as well): It may indicate the Russians are seriously rattled about the Ukrainian advance here. And creating a water obstacle works both ways - hindering any Russian counterattack.

Pegov acknowledges some Ukrainian tactical successes and notes that the location of Ukrainian advances is between the AOR for different Russian units.

Worth keeping in mind that the main line of Russian defenses is still south of Urozhaine (marked)https://t.co/0YaHCqGmcy pic.twitter.com/w4VEZyKFeC
