On the other hand, Fable could be at the showcase but the Twitter video was still not a tease.

In which case, don't comment on it, let people speculate, a happy accident.

How they gonna make a tease with a very specific prop being a glittery path (Fable) and try to convince us it's an accident? lol

Everyone is reading way too much into this, I think one person said it was Fable and then everyone jumped on it because at the time of posting it barely had anyone wondering if it was Fable. People are really reaching because they want it to be Fable but it sounds more like a Rare tune than a Fable one but people want it to be Fable so they ignore that, if there were more Banjo fans than Fable fans they would be saying it sounds like Banjo, Lol.

If marketing wanted to tease Fable then they would have used an actual track or tune from Fable. This is a very generic and common tune, a ton of things "sound" like Fable but they aren't Fable, I think whoever mixed the music on this simply chose some random whimsical track and thought nothing of it because it's common as heck. It just represents a "whimsical" or "mysterious" vibe. You hear a similar thing a lot in fantasy/whimsical stuff.

That's the track out of the way, now onto the "trail"

Fable's waypoint trail is gold and it is large sparkles, not glitter. So if it was a tease for Fable then they would have used gold glitter, not blue/green glitter which clearly matches the aesthetic of the showcase branding which is a greeny/blue glitter-like effect around the Xbox logo, which we've already decided is likely a link to Avowed. The glitter, is literally the exact same colour as the showcase branding. The glitter trail actually looks nothing like the sparkling trail in Fable but is a near perfect physical world example of the digital graphic of the showcase logo.

If they wanted to tease Fable then they would have actually made it look a lot more like Fable.

  • The Glitter + Colour = The Showcase Branding.
  • The Music = Generic Whimsical/Mystery Track (Which Sound More Rare Than Fable).

Not trying to temper expectations or saying Fable won't be there (I'm 50/50 on that) but I'm just saying the belief that this random fun ad on Twitter is a teaser for Fable is a massive reach and not something Xbox has ever done before IIRC aside from the logo's for the showcase being themed after a game. Usually I'm the one who is told off for reading too much into things

This music reminds me of recent lawsuits against artists for copyright infringement on certain tunes, when in fact, it's simply because there's only so many tunes you can do before they all start blending into each other and starting to sound like another. It's like how I'm constantly reminded of Fable when watching The Great British Bake Off, the tunes sound straight out of Fable but they aren't, it's just because it's a common note.
