Sure, but the 6600 series came out when there were chip shortages + mining boom. $299 is more than a better RX 6700 with 10GB.
I think a lot of Polaris 8GB or 1060/1070 owners struggle with 1080p and 1080 Ti owners struggle with 1440p and many of them are not willing to accept that GPU prices increased 2x, but that kind of price to performance cards will never come back.
