I've recently read that a problem with F-16s is that they need proper runways due to their design whilst Ukraine's current planes can be treated a bit more roughly, such as taking off from roads. They will need to store the F-16s at the runways/airfields and take off from there all the time, leaving them vulnerable to Russian strikes.
So if true then I hope the West is planning a lot more AD and hopefully more Patriots.
Having said that, Rheinmetall doesn't seem to give a shit about Russian missiles in the future...Really shows how little of a threat your missile campaign has became when an arms manufacturer is saying "lets set up a shop in Ukraine" Lol. Cause even when this war is over, I anticipate Russia will still be lobbing missiles over the border.
