So overall, I think I'll keep the 7800X3D until Intels next platform comes out and then get rid of it before the warranty expires. While motherboard vendors do certainly play a big role in killing the CPUs, it's up to AMD to properly communicate and test all this before launching their brand new platform built from ground up and put stringent rules so you don't have a case of CPUs and motherboards dying. If it was just Asus having problems, fair enough but all vendors? That 100% leads to something gone wrong in the chain of testing, communication and validation.

They also should have done more to increase customers confidence. They should extend the warranty of their Zen 4 CPUs to 4 years at least and tell motherboard manufacturers to accept RMAs with Expo on. Currently it's more like "We will RMA the CPUs with Expo on but good luck with motherboard manufacturers." While I doubt I'll have any issues RMA my motherboard if it dies, I don't like the fact that I might have to fight the support tech about this. Not to mention the bad stigma that is now surrounding the platform which will likely affect the resale value.

Personally I would be getting rid of 7800X3D asap if it wasn't for Intels own cuckery with similarly specd motherboards costing $100-$200 more, Intels stupid platform longevity nonsense and essentially requiring higher specd ram to have similar performance to X3D. Overall that would cost be a pretty penny more to invest on a platform that's in it's last legs. So I'll keep it for now and hopefully the BIOS updates won't have any lingering issues on top.
