I agree that Windows is by far not designed for mobile (or even as a gaming OS from the ground). But even on the SteamDeck I'm running Windows and it works just fine. The biggest issue (if we put aside the initial pain in the ass setup with drivers, controller setup etc..) is def. the battery and that's 100% on Windows but it runs very well. And with the specs of the Ally, I'm expecting some serious capabilities.
Yes, Windows is going to "suck up" some of those resources unlike SteamOS; but in the end; it will not really matter I think and the experience will be very good.

Side note: I'm also really surprised by the price. This is way lower than what I was expecting, this will seriously hit the Deck market. And I believe this is not even the cheapest model.
