In general I think what we can take away from the results is that Xbox as a gaming company is very healthy right now, but as a console platform specifically not so much. Their focus really does seem to be shifting heavily towards the software and subscriptions/services side.

Do we have any timeframe for the CMA info? Is it just anytime between now and the end of the UK working day?

Will be interested to see their Q4/end of fiscal year report in late June. That’s when they usually lay out expectations for the whole year and give commentary on their broader strategy.

I remember in summer ‘21 they made a statement saying console was their flagship gaming product. Will be interested to see if that is still the case

I wonder if this is the first year where MS will sell more software on non-xbox consoles than xbox consoles, or perhaps that happened in 2022 not sure. Considering Diablo IV, CoD, Minecraft Legends it would be expected that their 1st party sells more on PS+Switch than Xbox.

I imagine we'll be getting a lot of the "MS should go fully third party" talk over the months/years ahead.
