But even so, the fact that a Zelda game is able to reach those levels and actually give the PS1 Final Fantasy games a run for their money - That thought would have been straight up laughable pre-Switch launch. Yet, here we are and it's a reality. And every sign and indication is that Tears of the Kingdom will do monstrous numbers as well. Absolutely incredible!

FF7 sold 4.1mil in Japan on the PS1. The FF8 number is correct. Coming from the CESA White Book.
