I've seen people speculate that this was the scheme behind ProbablyMonsters for a while. But then again, others assumed this was unlikely to happen because they were already owned. Sony has been funding Firewalk for quite a while. And apparently had some agreements that they had to be cut off from the rest of ProbablyMonsters. |
Yeah.
Ain't like ProbablyMonsters is strapped for cash either: ProbablyMonsters Raises $200 Million In Record-Breaking Series-A Game Funding
Harold Ryan can probably make calls and get investor roundups with a click of his fingers considering his background.
Interesting approach...Take Harold Ryan who helped to create one of the best/well known studios of all time, have him form a bunch of new studios, he gets the team off the ground and then sells them to companies that need them, I mean, it's actually a little genius if that is what he's doing, Lol.
Guess Cauldon and Battle Barge may be available for purchase in the future as well
Also, a strong pickup by Sony. I'm curious what the rest of his studios are doing as well (Cauldron and Battle Barge).
