Sounds like the 4070 is basically the slightly better 3080, and by that I mean close to what the Ti model would've been, just like the 1080ti was to the 1080 (not a huge gap between the two, but close enough).
$600 isn't as bad as I'd thought, let's see if it also sticks to that in the GBP region, and then I'll be thinking (since I paid around £600ish for my 1080ti with 12gb, that's about as much as I'd be willing to pay, but for a 70 series that still seems a tad steep).
