At this point, I feel Sony and Cryin' Ryan are just doing this to appease shareholders. 

Their arguments are so incredibly weak that I think this theory makes sense, Lol.

  • Bringing up Redfall when CMA already said weeks ago they know, they don't care, either Sony didn't read the response or they don't care.
  • Bringing up Chrome OS weeks after Microsoft said they would bring it to Chrome OS and trying to use a OS geared more towards teachers as a gatcha.
  • The ridiculous notion that Sony would never recover if CoD is degraded on PlayStation.
  • The ridiculous notion that they would intentionally degrade it to begin with.
  • Calling CMA irrational but without anything to back it up.

Etc. It's a regurgitation of a lot of arguments they've already put forward and CMA has already decided they aren't good enough.

I think Sony might appeal to CAT just to further this, their arguments feel extremely desperate now and that is how someone would act if they were trying to appease shareholders and show they are doing everything in their power to stop the deal, even if they look ridiculous, the negative PR is only temporary.
