So other people dictate your opinion, gotcha.

No, because in both points I'm mentioning myself....

But I do value opinions of someone who has enough smarts and knowledge to back up their arguments.

My point is you haven't even played the game, so you shouldn't be critiquing it

I'm going to have to second this motion.  It's one thing to say, "I don't feel that I'd enjoy this game."  But, to actually critique it without having played it means your words hold little value to these discussions.

I think you guys should re-read what I wrote:

I criticised MGS4 not having graphics as good as Crysis, which I judged from screens and clips AND PS3 not even being powerful enough to make Crysis graphics!

I criticised the abuse of cutscenes... because no matter how pretty they are, it's Idiotic! If you can't shorten the story, then you can just integrate the story into the gameplay (which is what Kojima should've done). Not taking advantage of Videogaming's strong points is a Big NO.

The OP compared the story of FF6 with MGS4's. I merely said that FF6's is nowhere near the top of videogame Stories.

If MGS4 is a shooter then.... whatever.

The problem with making statements about graphics is that it's not all pure polygon counts.  It's about the art direction and cinematography as well.  Games like Metroid Prime 3 are proof of that (or so I've read).  I've never played Crysis.  I think my computer would implode, but if MP3 can be argued by some (such as IGN) to stand up to anything on the PS3 and 360 simply due to its art, then I'm sure an argument could be made for MGS4 vs. Crysis.

Keep this in mind when reading what I type...

I've been gaming longer than many of you have been alive.
