Just going by COMG! preorders you'd have to say that yes Pikmin 4 has a chance. But looking at the actual numbers for the previous entries...

FFXV sold 717k week 1 (On a PS4 installbase of 3.8m)
Pikmin 3 Deluxe sold 171k week 1

Of course you'd expect Pikmin 4 to do much better than a remaster but I just can't see FFXVI retail sales being less than half of FFXV. They will certainly be lower, probably by quite a bit. But I can't see a scenario where it sells less than 400k and I can't see Pikmin 4 selling more than 400k, so my vote goes to FFXVI winning that battle regardless of what COMG! is showing right now.
