Hey Naz, Why are PCs better for RPGs? I just held down the A button for the first couple Final Fantasy games. You just need a D-Pad or IR pointer or mouse, and some menus and 1 or 2 buttons.

The way I see it, PC has better online, users modding everything, better graphics, games made by Blizzard and Valve, and they have inherently better controls for FPS and RTS games.

Consoles are sexxier, easier for dummies to hook up fast right out of the box, they have games made by Nintendo, Namco, Capcom, and Konami, and they have inherently better (standard) controls for fighters.

I'm kinda out of the RPG loop, so I don't see why they'd need so many hotkeys these days.

An RPG with any real variety in your skills needs a lot of buttons and the user of a mouse.  Let me show you...

Does that look like it's playable on consoles?  Of course not.  Any RPG with real gameplay depth needs hotkeys to be playable. I was thinking Western and MMORPG though, as JRPGs are usually very simplistic in combat.  That said, there has been a new stream of super-casual WRPGs too like Oblivion that are toned down for the limited controls on consoles.

I don't see how you can possibly argue consoles have better controls for anything.  You always have the option to use a Gamepad.  Even if you don't like mouse and keybaord you can use a gameplad.  The difference is while on PC you can use the more accurate and customizable mouse and keyboard (and no, that isn't opinion... accuracy and amount of buttons are a matter of meassureable fact), but on consoles you have nothing but the extremely limited gamepads.

I agree they are easier to use, and have some games PCs don't, just as PCs have some games consoles don't.
