HBO's successful adaptation of the video game has introduced a wider audience to the gripping story of Joel and Ellie's post-apocalyptic journey. Developed by Naughty Dog, the game has won multiple awards and been praised for its story, innovative gameplay, and impressive graphics.

With over 37 million copies sold worldwide as of December 2022, the game's success is also reflected in its sales figures. According to, week over week sales have increased by as much as 322% since the HBO TV series premiere. As a result, sales for The Last of Us Part I and The Last of Us Remastered are moving up the charts in the US, UK, and EU.
