The 7800 will release with a better binned CCD than the one in the 7900X3D part, though, so it's hard to believe it won't match it in clock speeds.
If not by default (to save the 7900's face, I assume) then with a little tweaking. But I think the delay suggests they know it will top the charts for a lower price.
