Meh many modern cases have limited capacity for non m.2 drives/ssds anyway. With m.2 ssds being so cheap these days, I'll take the added slots for those over sata. But granted if you have a lot of 2.5/3.5 inch hard drives/ssds, upgrading gonna be a pain.
