Woo! It certainly is. A bit more than what I'd like to spend on a CPU but I guess it will age better than a 5600X will. Will be the first time I get a near TOTL CPU for gaming so quite happy with my purchase. Hopefully my 360mm AiO can handle the heat.
And now the hard part, getting a graphics card that meets my needs and budget lol. Fingers crossed the 4070 and 7800XT aren't priced to shit. Or the other current GPU's gets a deep price cut. Then maybe think about a new PSU (oh no).

It'd def help you for WoW, but I'll warn you now, the expansion's main city hub, Valdrakken will, and I mean will, cripple your fps to the 40's. I've been scouring WoW's forums, hoping the devs will iron it out, but it's been a month and a half since launch and they haven't really sorted out the perf drops in that city, and it's by far the most important/most used hub in the new continent so far, but outside the city?, you'll get way better perf uplift for sure. Also I'm not sure if the deal is still going on, but if you buy WoW, you get an extra month of free game time, so if you buy the digital deluxe, you'll get that month of free game time, plus 30 extra days. |
Cool, yeah I guess for a hobby, watching/reading stuff and some work its not a bad expense. And is a nice, easy slot in upgrade. Just need a bios update or two to get it ready for the new processor.
Apparently the VCache really helps for MMO's and big map multiplayer games like Warzone which is one of the reasons why I kinda wanted one.
Curious to see the new zones and main city. Hopefully they fix the lag fest in some updates lol. And I think I saw that. It might be for people who haven't subbed in a while because iirc there was an offer where you purchase the regular version and you get a month's play for free.
