Sure, I guess that's why a small company like EA decided to not put most of their games on the PC anymore? Or why some game developer was complaining that PC gaming was dead? Yep, sounds like console gaming is in deep trouble here. |
It's clear you are ignorant about PC Games, because PC dominates both Adventure and RPG genres. And here is EA's 2008 Exclusive games for PC:
Battlefield Heroes
Battleforge
Dragon Age - Bioware PC exclusive and Spiritual successor of Baldur's Gate. Bigger than Mass Effect.
FIFA Manager 09
SimCity Societies: Destinations
Spore - Biggest Game of the Year, created by the Genius Will Wright.
Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning - HUGE Budget MMORPG, being developed by the experienced Mythic (creators of DaoC). Looking to challenge World of Warcraft.
There is not 1 EA game on consoles that can rival any of Dragon Age, Spore or Warhammer Online, in terms of awesomeness, except Burnout Paradise (which is being released soon on PC with several extra modes and fully optimized).
Electronic Arts has recently been the publisher who supported PC the most, because they know that's where the biggest money is being made.
About the Adventure genre.... PC is THE platform for Adventure games, a genre that is unexistent in consoles except DS/Wii. And DS and Wii don't even have a 1/5 of what PC has in Adventure games.
About the RPG genre.... Are you high? PC has more RPGs than PS3/Wii/360 combined, in 2008.
(some) PC RPG exclusives in 2008:
Afterfall
Dragon Age
Drakensang: The Dark Eye
King’s Bounty: the Legend
Neverwinter Nights 2: Storm of Zehir
Not the Time for Dragons
Pirates of Burning Sea
Ragnarok Online 2
Reluctant Hero
Space Siege
Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning
The Witcher: Enhanced Edition
World of Warcraft: Wrath of Lich King
